The Middle East is the key to understanding the season we are in.
Throughout the twentieth century many previously unfulfilled prophecies concerning Israel have been fulfilled to the detail.
The birth of the fledgling state of Israel took place. Isaiah 66:8 “Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the Earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, she gave birth to her children. “This was fulfilled on the day Israel was made a nation, May 14, 1948. This took one day.
The Lord has said that he will prosper those who return to Israel, that the land shall yield fruit and trees and the people will come. Ezekiel 36:6-8 says “Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains and to the hills, to the watercourses and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my wrath, because ye have borne the shame of the nations: therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I have sworn, saying, Surely the nations that are round about you, they shall bear their shame. But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people Israel; for they are at hand to come.
The land will also be built, cities shall be inhabited and more land shall be built on. The population of Israel in 2009 was 7,441,700. Ezekiel 36:10 says, “And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the city shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded.”
For those of you who believe that Israel is the instigator in all that happens in the Middle East concerning them, I say to you, if the Palestinians and those other nations who hate Israel genuinely laid down their arms tomorrow the war in the Middle East would cease tomorrow. If Israel laid down their arms, they would be annihilated by her enemies within weeks if not days.
Operations such as Solomon and similar works of the Lord through various Christian organisations are the fulfilment of many biblical prophecies such as Isaiah 11:12, 43:5, 54:7, 49:22 “This is what the Sovereign LORD says: “See, I will beckon to the Gentiles, I will lift up my banner to the peoples; they will bring your sons in their arms and carry your daughters on their shoulders.”, Ezekiel 11:17 , Jeremiah 31:10 “He that scattered Israel will gather him” In Deuteronomy 30:4,5 this re-gathering is described as follows, “Even if you have been banished to the most distant land under the heavens, from there the Lord your God will gather you and bring you back. 5 He will bring you to the land that belonged to your ancestors, and you will take possession of it. He will make you more prosperous and numerous than your ancestors.” and also Isaiah 1:11 which says, “and he shall set up an ensign for the nations and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth”. Or that mighty prophecy of Jeremiah 31:10 “behold, I will bring them from the North country and gather them from the coasts of the earth…. Hear the word of the Lord oh you nations, and declare it in the isles afar off and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him and keep him as a shepherd doth his flock.”
Do not fall into the trap of thinking this has happened already. Amos 9:15 tells us, “…And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith Jehovah thy God…’” Although two of the tribes of Israel, Judah and Benjamin were returned to Israel they were cast out again in 70AD.
Isaiah 11:11,12 tell us, “And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.”
This did not happen on the return from Babylon. It was only two tribes of Israel that returned from Babylon and in fact, at the time of the Northern Kingdom’s captivity by Assyria, the ten tribes of Israel that made up the Northern Kingdom were dispersed and assimilated into the far northern reaches of the Assyrian kingdom. They ceased to exist as a nation. They have never returned until the latter days of the twentieth century through Operation Solomon and other similar feats.
Although these prophecies are being fulfilled in our time, others have yet to be fulfilled. Israel still has supporters; notably the USA, but also nations such as Australia which has supported Israel since the Balfour Declaration in 1948, so is not yet standing alone against the world – the whole world has not yet turned against Israel and the temple has not yet been rebuilt.
There are numerous prophecies that are yet to be fulfilled. As these prophecies are fulfilled and events untold in the Middle East, the time of Christ’s return is nearing. This is the time to look up, look up for your redemption is near.. Remember Jesus’ message to you, “I AM, I LOVE YOU, I AM COMING BACK SOON.”
