Ruach Aotearoa: A Call to Radical Prayer

Ruach Aotearoa.. A call to radical prayer…

The most exciting thing to happen this year…

Pray for the nation, stand on God’s word that if we ‘humble ourselves, repent and pray and turn away from our sin, God will hear from heaven, forgive our sins and heal our land.’ 2 Chron 7:14

If you grieve for the state of the nation, this is a date for you. Make it a party with your friends, with you and God, call a sleepover at your local church, whatever you decide to do, this is a weekend you will look back on and feel blessed to have been a part of.

Ruach is a Hebrew word loosely meaning Spirit or Breath. Strong’s Concordance defines it as “Ruach: Breath, Wind, Spirit”. The Spirit in this context is the Ruach Elohim or Spirit of God. At other times the Ruach is the Ruach Ha Kodesh or Holy Spirit.

As believers fast, repent and pray we will take authority over the nation of Aotearoa. We will declare the sovereign presence of Elohim, God the Creator and claim the land as His, His creation.

The first weekend in December…. 6-8 December 2019 from 8pm on Friday evening until 8pm on Sunday evening, believers all over the nation will fast and pray corporately. At each traditional meal time, supper, breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and repeat, we will pray a prayer point comprised of proclamations. There are twelve prayer points.

We might pray in our home, in a group, in a wild part of nature or in the middle of a bustling city, a work place or a sports game, anywhere. The plan is that wherever we are we will pray with many other voices rising in prayer and entreaty towards God.

The book Ruach Aotearoa: a call to radical prayer, accompanies this call. It contains information about the weekend, fasting, the agenda and the plan. It is available here on Kindle or hardcopy from Amazon, will soon be available at Christian bookstores in New Zealand or from here for your own hardcopy which you can purchase online or via email. Other digital formats will be available in November. Get your copy to follow through with the prayer points.
